On the first day of your 13 days in Morocco, we welcome you on arrival at the airport or directly from your accommodation in Casablanca — Morocco’s largest city and economic heartbeat. Your journey begins with a visit to the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, perched on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. As the largest mosque in Morocco, its intricate architecture and seaside setting make it a must-see landmark.

After some free time for lunch, you continue exploring the highlights of Casablanca. Depending on your arrival time, the tour may include:
    – Mohammed V Square – the bustling civic centre known for its colonial architecture
    – A photo stop at the iconic Rick’s Café, inspired by the classic film Casablanca
    – A scenic walk along the vibrant Corniche of Casablanca

Note: The order and number of visits may vary based on your arrival schedule.

DAY 2: CASABLANCA – RABAT THE CAPITAL – ASILAH (4 hours drive)

After breakfast, you drive along the coastline to Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and the current capital. You visit the highlights of the Moroccan capital, including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, you head north to Asilah, the beautiful seaside city. Overnight stay in a hotel.

DAY 3: ASILAH – TANGIER – RIF MOUNTAINS – CHEFCHAOUEN (2.5 hours drive)

After breakfast, you depart from Asilah and drive along the coastline to Tangier, also known as “the bride of the north.” It lies in the northwest, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Spartel, in the Strait of Gibraltar. Firstly, you explore the beautiful city and visit the Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel. Free time for lunch, before you drive inland to Chefchaouen, passing through the city of Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, with stops along the way for panoramic views. Finally, overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen.

DAY 4: SIGHTSEEING CHEFCHAOUEN THE BLUE CITY (no driving – 2 hours walking tour)

After breakfast, you explore Chefchaouen, the blue city, also known as Achaoun, which means “horns” in Berber. The city lies in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco and is famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in white and blue. Firstly, you stroll through its charming old Medina, with its many beautiful, authentic blue doors and whitewashed walls. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon you can hike to the Spanish Mosque, set on high ground, where you can enjoy a spectacular view over the whole blue city. Finally, return to your hotel. Overnight stay in the same hotel.

DAY 5: CHEFCHAOUEN – THE ROMAN RUINS OF VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES (4 hours drive)

After breakfast, feel free to wander the beautiful alleyways of the blue city of Chefchaouen. You then drive to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Remarkably well preserved, it’s recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with beautiful mosaics scattered here and there alongside ancient pillars and archways. After a stroll through the ruins, you drive 30 km to visit Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of the imperial cities, where you see Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal Stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. You then head to Fes. Overnight stay in a riad.

DAY 6: SIGHTSEEING FES WITH A LOCAL GUIDE (30 min drive / 3–4 hours walking tour)

We pick you up from your riad in Fes after breakfast to begin your immersive exploration of one of Morocco’s most iconic imperial cities — Fes, the country’s cultural and spiritual heart.

Your journey starts with a driving tour. First, you stop at the magnificent Royal Palace Gate, followed by a visit to “The Mellah,” the historic Jewish Quarter. Then you enjoy breathtaking views from the Borj Sud fortress, a stunning overlook of the ancient Medina. The final stop of this portion is the Ceramic Village & School, where you witness traditional craftsmanship in action.

Next comes a walking tour. You step back in time as you enter the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved historic towns in the Arab world. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, you explore highlights such as the Al Attarine Madrasa, the University and Mosque of Al Quaraouiyine — considered the oldest existing university in the world — and the colourful Chouara Tanneries, where leather is dyed using centuries-old methods.

After this unforgettable journey through history, you’re returned to your riad to relax.

DAY 7: FES – IFRANE – CEDAR FOREST – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA SAHARA (7 hours drive)

After breakfast, you continue your 13 days around Morocco tour south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane. The town is famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style houses — no wonder it’s called the Switzerland of Morocco. After that, you continue to the cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques; feel free to feed them as you wander among the trees. Later you continue to Midelt for free time and lunch, then drive on to Merzouga through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and along the Ziz Valley, with stops for panoramic views.

In the afternoon you reach the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, where you switch to camels, cross the sandy desert, and pause atop a high dune to enjoy the sunset. You then continue to the desert camp, which combines the traditional tents of the nomads with the luxury of a hotel, where you can enjoy Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire beneath a vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

DAY 8: EXPLORE THE MERZOUGA REGION – NOMADS – KHAMLIA – MERZOUGA LAKE – ERG CHEBBI – PALM GROVE (2 hours drive)

Waking early is a must, to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. You then return on camels or by 4×4 to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. You dedicate the 8th day of your 13 days around Morocco tour to exploring the region of Merzouga, which has so many incredible sites — from sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, and fossil areas to fabulous oases — ideal places for many outdoor activities.

Firstly, you start your journey in Merzouga by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner (kohl) mine. Then you pay the nomads a visit in their handmade woven tent, learning how they live over a Berber tea. Your next destination is the Khamlia village, where you enjoy Gnawa music and dancing performances by its inhabitants, who originate from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that, you take a stroll in a palm-tree grove, then drive a few kilometres to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called the flamingos lake. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

DAY 9: MERZOUGA SAHARA – RISSANI – ERFOUD – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY (5 hours drive)

After breakfast, you leave the desert to visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet and still a major trading centre in the region, with a large souk.

After a stroll through the Rissani souk, you continue to Erfoud, where you visit one of the fossilised-marble workshops. You then drive through the Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges, where the course of the Todra River has carved a grand, high red cliff-sided canyon through the mountains — an ideal place for rock climbers. Feel free to wander the gorge and take in the beauty of the landscape. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. You then continue to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades, with the inevitable stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation and for the view of the Dades Valley. Finally, dinner and overnight in a hotel.

DAY 10: DADES VALLEY – ROSE VALLEY – PALM GROVES OF SKOURA – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH – HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MARRAKECH (6 hours drive)

After breakfast, you continue your trip to Kalaat M’Gouna to visit the Rose Valley, where a Rose Festival is held annually in May and locals offer their rose products, from perfumes, rose water, and oil to cosmetics. You then drive through the palm groves of Skoura before reaching Ouarzazate, where you visit the studios in which famous movies were shot.

You depart to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has appeared in many films including Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, and TV series including Game of Thrones. After that, you continue to Marrakech, driving through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains, with stops for lunch and photos at interesting spots. Overnight stay in a riad in Marrakech.

DAY 11: GUIDED TOUR SIGHTSEEING MARRAKESH (45 min drive / 3 hours walking tour)

After a warm breakfast, you explore the highlights of Marrakesh with a local guide. As one of Morocco’s historic imperial cities, Marrakech is rich in culture and architectural beauty. The tour includes a visit to the stunning 19th-century Bahia Palace, followed by the beautifully preserved Ben Youssef Madrasa, a former Islamic school showcasing traditional Moroccan design. You also explore the lively Medina and its souks, filled with colourful stalls and skilled artisans, experience the vibrant atmosphere of Jamaa El-Fna Square, and admire the Koutoubia Mosque from outside, the largest in the city.

Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, you meet your driver to visit the iconic Majorelle Garden (requires online pre-booking), followed by a drive through Gueliz, the modern district of Marrakech, before returning to your riad.

DAY 12: MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA (3 hours drive)

After breakfast, you drive west to Essaouira. On the way you make stops to see the argan tree plantations and cooperatives, and, if you’re lucky, the goats in the trees. You reach Essaouira, formerly Mogador, one of the important coastal towns in Morocco, famous for the diversity of its seafood, its beautiful beach, and surfing. Free time to visit the fishing port, the ancient ramparts with their cannons, and the old Medina. Finally, transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay in Essaouira.

    DAY 13: ESSAOUIRA – CASABLANCA (4 hr 20 min)

On the last day, you depart from Essaouira and head to Casablanca. Drop-off at your departure terminal at Casablanca airport. Ideally, your flight should leave around 4 pm or later. (It is possible to end the tour in Marrakech as well.)

End of the 13 days Morocco Tour.

The camel ride lasts from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on which camp you’re staying in. If you’d rather not ride, the camp has a 4×4 that takes people and luggage in and out, which you’re welcome to use. Alternatively, ATVs can be arranged at an additional cost.

    1. Get in touch with us through the contact forms, email, WhatsApp, or our social networks, and tell us the number of travellers, the type of accommodation (excellent, luxury, etc.), your tour date (if available), and your chosen tour or some details so we can plan a new itinerary for you.

A: Pricing is dynamic and depends on two main factors:

Group Size: Because private vehicle and driver costs are fixed, per-person rates decrease significantly as your group size increases.

Accommodation Tier: Tours can be quoted with standard, mid-range, or 5-star luxury Riads and desert camps.

Q: What is the booking and payment process?

A: Select an itinerary or request a custom route via WhatsApp, email, or contact form.

Pay a small confirmation deposit via PayPal, credit card online invoice, or international bank transfer.

Pay the remaining balance upon arrival in cash (EUR, USD, or MAD) directly to your driver/guide, or via PayPal (which carries a standard 5% processing fee).

    2. Tour Types & Customization
Q: What is the difference between small shared group tours and private tours?

A: Small Shared Group Tours: Limited to a maximum of 10 travelers (featured on Morocco Fabulous Travel), offering a cost-effective, social experience on fixed routes (e.g., 3-day Marrakech to Fes).

Private Tours: Fully customizable itineraries where only your party travels in a dedicated 4WD or minivan with your personal driver/guide, allowing you to choose stops, pace, and departure dates.

Q: Can we customize our itinerary or start from any city?

A: Yes. Both agencies allow full customization. Tours can depart from and end in any major Moroccan gateway, including Casablanca (CMN airport), Marrakech, Fes, Tangier, Ouarzazate, or Errachidia.

A: Most standard 3- to 5-day desert packages include:

    Private air-conditioned transportation with fuel.

    Professional multilingual local Berber driver/guide.

Scenic mountain crossings (Tizi n’Tichka / High Atlas) and stops (Aït Benhaddou, Dades/Todra Gorges).

Sunset camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.

Overnight stay at a Berber desert camp (Standard or Luxury) with private tent, dinner, breakfast, and traditional campfire music.
